Love Poem # 281

Share this page on:
The Pilgrimage Of My Heart

You were my Venus
Finding my heart buried in the depths of darkness
Enveloped by shadows of forsaken enchantment
Twas a pilgrimage of my core
Through the enchanted forest of rapture
Along a flower bordered path
Delicately sprinkled with ardor scented rose petals
From the bouquet of your passionate soul

Such a crusade of devotion to the promised land
Had ever caressed my heart
Chaperoned to the lighthouse of amour
Cosseted and nestled to your golden bosom
Raised tenderly with zeal to the highest tor
Held in eager arms to the sun god
Finding its incandescent catalyst
Drenched by fuel from the lantern of your quintessence
You became my Aphrodite, Butterfly Queen
Reigning forever on the throne of my heart

- Written and owned by Alan Murphy -
