Dawn
Her love is like a dawn
And the promise of the day.
It fills my heart with hope,
Pushing the dark away.
Her love does come
Into my cold, dark night,
Filling my soul with warmth
From her glowing sunlight!
As the sun does rise
With each new morn,
Her love gives life,
As though reborn.
As the sun always wins
And covers the night,
Her love conquers me,
And all seems right.
As there is no greater beauty
Than the rising of the sun,
There's nothing more alluring
Than the love of this one!
As it peeks over my horizon
And rises in my sky,
The majesty of her love
I know can never die.
Try as you may
To thwart the rising sun,
There's no way to stop it,
Like the love of this one!
For as the morning is sure
And certain as can be,
Her love is ever-present,
Forever inside of me.
So, no matter my lot,
No matter my place,
Her love will shine
And brighten my face.
When night seems endless
And all hope seems gone,
I can dream a dream,
The return of Dawn!
